Terms of sale.

Last updated 6 October 2026. These terms cover reports bought or claimed on this site.

1. Who is selling

Apparel Signals, registered in Amsterdam with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK 42118146, makes the reports, delivers them to your account and answers questions about them at support@apparelsignals.com. Paid reports are sold through Link, the merchant of record service of Stripe: Link takes the payment, charges any tax due and sends the receipt and the invoice, and the charge appears on your statement under LINK.COM. Link's own purchase terms, at link.com/terms, apply to the payment. A free report (clause 8) involves no payment, receipt or invoice.

2. What you buy

A report is one file set for one brand, one market and one captured week: every listing the brand had on sale in that week as read from its own product pages, delivered as an Excel workbook, the same rows as CSV and JSON, and a field guide. The price shown at checkout is the full price before any tax Stripe applies for your location, and it is the price that applies. An organisation we have approved as an NGO or a public education institution (clause 5) pays 40% less for every report, from the first checkout it starts after the approval; while an application waits, reports cost the standard price. The shop lists each brand's newest captured week; older weeks are quoted separately on request.

3. Delivery

Files are built from the week's capture and appear in your account, usually within minutes of payment, and we tell you by email when they do. You sign in with your email address. The files download at once, as often as you need, until the second week of data published after your purchase. When that week is published we tell you in your account and by email, and 24 hours later downloads close. After that you can request the files from the order in your account at any time: we build them again from the same week's capture within 48 hours of the request and tell you by email, and they then download for 48 hours, after which a new request is needed. The files' structure, the columns they hold and how they are laid out, can change over time. Every download, for any week you bought, comes in the current structure, which the field guide describes. If a report cannot be built, we refund it in full.

4. What the data is

Every value is something the brand published on its own product page in the week named, standardised onto our taxonomy. Independent, observed, and open. Claims and certifications are recorded as published and are not verified. We do not warrant fitness for a particular purpose beyond the description in the field guide.

5. Licence

A report is licensed to the organisation that bought or claimed it for its internal use, including analysis, presentations and reports it produces. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the file set or a substantial part of it, or use it to build a competing data service. Aggregates and findings derived from it are yours. The NGO and public education price is for the organisation itself, buying for its own work: registered non-profits, and publicly funded schools, colleges and universities. It is not for students buying on their own, private for-profit schools, or consultancies working for an NGO, and a report bought at that price is licensed to the approved organisation only.

6. Refunds

A report is a set of digital files, delivered as soon as you pay. Before you pay, you tick a box asking for your files right away and confirming that digital files can't be returned once downloaded, and the email that tells you the files are ready confirms it. Because the product is digital and delivered immediately, refunds are reviewed case by case. If something went wrong with your order, such as missing files, broken downloads or a duplicate charge, email support@apparelsignals.com and we'll make it right. A refunded order loses its downloads. A free report is not paid for, so there is nothing to refund.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the day of purchase or claim. Questions go to support@apparelsignals.com.

8. Free reports

Each week one brand report, for one brand in one market, is free: the one the shop marks Free this week while that week's data is the newest we publish. Each account can claim it once in that week, with no payment. It is built and delivered as clause 3 describes, except that its files can be downloaded only until the next week's data is published. After that they are removed, and a free report cannot be downloaded again or requested. Clauses 2, 4 and 5 apply to it as they do to a report bought.

9. Governing law

Dutch law governs these terms and every purchase or claim made under them, and a dispute we cannot settle with you goes to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you buy as a consumer, you keep the protection that the mandatory law of the country where you live gives you, and you may also bring a claim before the courts there.
