COS · Week of 13 Jul 2026
Apparel is 557 (77%) of the 727 products on COS’ storefront. The report covers apparel only.
Every garment COS sells must list its fibres, and those fibres largely decide whether it can be recycled. Single-material garments can be, though few are. Blends mostly cannot: machines cannot pull them apart, and chemical separation has yet to scale. Synthetics come from oil and gas, but most of a garment’s emissions come later, from the energy its mills burn. Of COS’ products, 56% disclose a blend and 38% contain a synthetic fibre.
We read every apparel product on COS’ storefront each week. The charts below are built from that data. The report gives you all of it, product by product.
